Events, guests, and registrations
Events
An event is a gathering your organization publishes (or keeps as a draft).
- Starts as a Draft until you Publish it
- Has a type: In person, Online, or Hybrid
- Has visibility: Public, Private, or Invite only
- Lives under a branch and can have topics, hosts, organizers, and registration questions
Published public events appear on Discover under your org slug. See Browse and create events.
Guests and registrations
When someone completes the public registration wizard (or you register them at check-in), they become a guest for that event.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Registered | Confirmed for the event |
| Waitlist | Event is full or they joined the waitlist |
Guests typically receive a confirmation email with a QR ticket for check-in.
Capacity and waitlist
On the event, you can set Max capacity and optionally enable an over-capacity waitlist. When capacity is reached, the public page may show Join the waitlist or Event full instead of Register.
Check-in
On event day, operators use Check-in to scan QR tickets, search guests, or create a New Registration and check them in immediately. See Run check-in.
